Your safety and the safety of our staff is our first priority. Accordingly we have completely changed our processes in accordance with the CDC recommendations. All patients will be prescreened prior to the appointment for COVID -19 symptoms and risk factors. All staff is screened daily, including daily temperature monitoring. We no longer have a waiting room. Patients will wait in the car until it is their appointment time. They will then contact the front desk and the front desk will let them know when it is safe to enter the office. All patients are required to wear masks. All staff will be wearing N95 masks, head coverings, scrubs and gloves. All doors will be kept open so patients do not have to touch surfaces and door knobs. An infrared no touch thermometer will be used to check temperature before entering the office. On the office, all surfaces And equipment are cleaned before, after and during your visit with 70 percent alcohol or medical grade bleach solution. Only one patient is allowed to enter, and will be escorted first to have testing , and then into a private room where he will stay until the end of the exam. Minimal talking will be done in the exam room, to limit droplet formation All explanations will be done virtually. HEPA air filtration units are installed in each exam room. When the exam is complete, you will leave with written prescriptions and instructions . Please note that in addition to before and after your visit cleaning of equipment , all surfaces in the office and bathroom and optical shop will be wiped down many times throughout the day.
